Occupy Till He comes
In pastor Brett's most recent Prophecy Update he referenced the term "Occupy till He comes". The term stuck with me this week and I was thinking of using it as a tagline for Mountain Man Cult: Occupy Till He Comes.
The saying comes from Luke 19:13 (KJV) in the Parable of the Ten Minas:
"And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come."
"In the older English of the KJV, “occupy” does not mean to sit idly or hold a position passively. It means to do business, trade, engage in commerce, or put resources to productive use. The underlying Greek word is pragmateuomai (related to the English word “pragmatic”), which means to carry on business or trade."
"The phrase has long been used in Christian teaching and preaching (for example by J.C. Ryle and many others) as a practical motto for Christian living: stay busy with the Master’s business—stewardship, service, witness, and readiness—until Christ returns."
