Heard you were stomping around the Gales Creek woods again, maybe checking the huckleberry patches or just keeping the trails clear of nosy hikers. Well, one of your tiniest forest neighbors hitchhiked onto a child’s fingertip and got its portrait taken.

This little spiky black-and-yellow critter is a baby ladybug—basically the forest’s own microscopic security detail.

While the dogs have been pains in my rear lately, they were on point this morning. After feeding pigs and taking Dixie back up to the house so she doesn't die, Luke and Leia helped wrangle some adventurous weaners and chased away a mountain lion . . . not really, probably just a deer.

We went to check on Pirate after we left him for dead in a wallow with a broken leg the other day.

We finally found him at the bottom of the Poop Hill wallow.

Life finds a way . . . for now.

Autzen's single duckling was out and about at the same time as I was doing evening chores. This was the first time I've really seen the new duckling . . . looks like another 5 star recruit.

My current working outline for Part I of Classical Christian "CC" Worldview Bible Study:

iv. Week 4 - To Make Him Know (Matthew 28:19-20)

v. Week 5 - Soli Deo Gloria (1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17, Colossians 3:23-24)
