Classical Christian "CC" Worldview Scripture Reading Plan

According to the most recent data from the American Worldview Inventory 2026 (AWVI 2026), conducted in January 2026 by George Barna and the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, only about 4% of U.S. adults hold a biblical worldview (defined as consistently aligning one’s beliefs and behaviors with biblical principles across multiple areas of life). Among self-identified Christians, the figure is roughly 6%.

The numbers for the younger generations are even more sobering: only 1% of Gen Z and 2% of Millennials actually hold a biblical worldview; there is no data yet for Alphas.

I love homeschooling my kids with Classical Conversations . . . but given these dismal statistics, their approach to Bible study during the Challenge years leaves a lot to be desired.

Without understanding the Cornerstone on which a true Christian worldview is built upon, our students are likely to be affected by the same mixed-up cultural ideas prevalent in society instead of learning to think and live in accordance with the revealed Word of God.

Classical Christian "CC" Worldview Scripture Reading Plan will rectify this situation with a structured 30-week plan focused on learning God's story as revealed to us through Scripture so that our students are able to biblically answer the basic questions any worldview must answer:

• Where did we come from and who are we?

• What has gone wrong with the world?

• What can we do to fix it?

It will consist of six five-week modules:

I. To Know God and Make Him Known.

i. Week 1 - God's Story - Creation (Genesis 1:1), The Fall (Romans 3:23), Redemption (Ephesians 1:7), Restoration (Isaiah 65:17)

ii. Week 2 - To Know God (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

iii. Week 3 - The Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

iv. Week 4 - To Make Him Know (Matthew 28:19-20)

v. Week 5 - Soli Deo Gloria (1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17, Colossians 3:23-24)

II. Creation - God Created

i. Week 6 - In the Beginning (Genesis 1:1)

ii. Week 7 - God Created the Earth (Genesis 1)

iii. Week 8 - God Created Man and Woman (Genesis 2)

iv. Week 9 - Human Limitations (Job 38:4-7, Isaiah 55:8-9)

v. Week 10 - Created for Christ (Colossians 1:16)

III. The Fall - Man Rebelled

i. Week 11 - Hath God Said (Genesis 3:1-7)

ii. Week 12 - Free Will (Judges 17:6, Proverbs 14:12, Proverbs 21:2)

iii. Week 13 - All Have Sinned (James 1:14-15, Romans 3:23)
